About

Hey there, I’m Sarah.

Welcome to my journey.

If you’ve landed here, I have a feeling you’ve been through a storm or two.
Maybe life didn’t go as planned — maybe you’re rebuilding, stretched thin, and trying to find a little peace in the middle of all the noise.
I’ve been there, too.
For a long time, I lived in survival mode — raising three kids on my own, running from one thing to the next, doing my best to hold it all together.
There were nights I cried in the car after football practice, mornings I forgot my coffee on the counter, and seasons when hope felt far away.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something beautiful:
God doesn’t wait for life to calm down before offering peace.
He meets us right in the middle of the chaos — and shows us how to build again.
That realization is how On the Riverbend was born.

Why ‘On the Riverbend’?

I live in a small town just off the river and there’s this one spot on the bend where the water slows down, and everything gets quiet. That’s how I picture this space.
A little bend in the river where you can breathe again.
Where you remember who you are, pour another cup of coffee, and whisper, “Okay. I can do this.” This blog isn’t about having it all together.
It’s about learning to live intentionally, gently, and faithfully — even when life is messy.
Because peace doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from grace.

What You’ll Find Here

On the Riverbend is for every woman who’s ever whispered, “I’m so tired, but I can’t give up.”

Here you’ll find:

  • Faith-filled encouragement for the hard and holy days.
  • Practical ways to simplify life and find peace in small moments.
  • Mindset shifts that help you rebuild from burnout, loss, or survival mode.
  • And a reminder that you’re not alone — not now, not ever.

This is your space to rest, reflect, and remember that grace still finds you — even here, even now.
